Counselling, Coaching, Hypnotherapy
Emotional wellbeing is as important for your health as the often more emphasised physical elements. We often refer to this part of the team to give you tools to deal more effectively with aspects of the mind.
Poor health can affect our mental state and our mental state can affect our health. We often overlook this fact and focus on treating our symptoms, not always taking time to consider the underlying causes.
We all feel down from time to time; we all feel stressed and overwhelmed by life's challenges. However, we do not always feel our 'needs' warrant a trip to a doctor. Yet prevention is better than cure and dealing with our concerns before they impact too severely on our everyday life means that we may be able to avoid more serious ill-health in the future.
The team at Southcote Proactive Healthcare are very aware of the need for a balance between mind and the body and would like to introduce you to their Mind Matters team:
Patricia Robbins
Patricia is a qualified Pluralistic Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist. She works collaboratively with clients and believes by creating a judgement free, safe environment. People can enter into a nurturing relationship enabling them to overcome whatever obstacles they feel are currently in their way.
Patricia comes from a Human Resources background, she has a variety of experience working with and enabling people to see their full potential. 20 years ago, life lead her down a path she had not planned and so began to study and understand the power of the mind along with the beauty that lies in our differences. Needing to see life through a different lens inspired her to start her own journey of discovery. She believes with great passion that we are all unique and when we start to embrace ourselves, we make changes we did not think possible.
She is aware we have all had challenging life experiences, some more than others. These can take their toll but with the right help and support we all have the capacity to improve our future and look at ourselves differently.
Patricia has experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, ASD, ADHD, addiction, low self-esteem and more.
She works face to face and online at Southcotes on Thursday afternoon and evening. She also works out of her office in Barham Court on Monday and Friday.
Please contact Patricia via reception or at pathways.counselling@outlook.com for a free initial consultation in order to gage if you might see the benefits of working with her. You might also like to visit her website www.pathways-counselling.com

Kiran Chudasama:
I approach my work with the same empathy, compassion and trust I received during my own therapeutic journey. I use a person centred, holistic approach to counselling. My focus is on you as a person and how your experiences make you feel, and how they have shaped and continue to influence your life.
We collaborate through your exploration sensitively, safely and intuitively, increasing your agency and skills, to not only make changes in the present, but skills which you can use in your future. We work to understand the deep-rooted behaviours, protective mechanisms, and habits to gain a clarity of the person who we truly want to be.
From my work as a Craniosacral Therapist, I have extensive knowledge in somatic based practices (understanding the deep connection between the mind and body) and the physical and emotional effects of daily and major stress, anxiety and trauma.
Knowledge is the power to bring about change.
Gus Ibarra:
I am a qualified Hypnotherapist, Psychotherapist and Reiki Master. All through life I have had the call to help and assist other people in any way possible.
I have worked in the hospitality industry for around 30 years, have met thousands of individuals all around the world, I have come to appreciate that regardless of your origins or social status, the fact remains that we are all human and the same fears, doubts, anxieties or defeating behaviours can affect our wellbeing and our functioning in life.
As a practitioner, my aim is to collaborate with the client by using the tools most effective to achieve their therapeutic goal. I believe that the same way we maintain a routine of physical hygiene and we do exercise to look after our body, read books and study to feed our knowledge, we should also be able or at least try to develop a routine in the practice of peace of mind.
Our minds harmony and wellbeing should be a priority for us all.
My training is integrative, so I can apply many disciplines to my work. I believe that each individual’s brain is a unique universe in itself, complexed and fascinating. Capable of achieving the impossible, amazing and great things.
When I came across Reiki it was just that light bulb moment.
I am passionate about being able to help people achieve their best level of wellbeing. Initiated as a master practitioner in the art of Reiki, I am able to use the techniques developed by Dr Mikao Usui in the 1920’s from their roots over 2000 years ago. This practice uses the body to channel energy through the hands.
